Oh man, this is hard.....

I am a typical Leo, outrageously loyal, joyful, proud, at times ... confident but also very self aware.  I live life to the fullest, I am energetic and take EVERY opportunity that comes my way.  

My background? I'm a city chick that has always yearned to live by the seaside, I have a passion for travelling and adventure, although I'm not very adventurous when push comes to shove.😂 So my chosen career was in the travel industry where I could travel and explore the world, it took me on a journey of self discovery and a desire to try lots of different things. My next career was in the event space, working in historic buildings such as Lords Cricket Ground in London and Hampton Court Palace.  I've served lunch to the Queen, had dinner with the Prime Minister (Malcolm Turnbull), dished up a feed to the Essendon Football Club, travelled to China and managed global events for major mining organisations. My work has taken me on a wonderful journey, but it was time to put pause on that chapter of my life and raise three amazing humans.  I still work in events and marketing, although not as adventurous or glamorous, the work I do is incredibly rewarding, working with secondary schools and industry, providing opportunities for engagement through a variety of events.

Not a thing, learn the hard way baby. I wouldn't be the person I am today without the mistakes and failures, successes and experiences I've lived.  Life isn't easy, it throws you a curve ball once in a while, learning resilience at a young age helps you find an inner strength to pull you through those times. 

This is a daily challenge for a busy Mum who puts everyone's needs ahead of their own.  I have learnt that this is not sustainable, something has to give whether it's your relationship with your partner or your connections with your children, your ability to be productive at work or whatever it might be.  I make sure I make time for myself each day, it could be having a coffee with a friend or even with myself, going for a quick walk or a long hike, a visit to the beach to watch the sunset or a session at the gym. I love live music and going to concerts and festivals fills my cups for months, so does a girls weekend with my girlfriends. 😜

It's important to remember who I am when I'm not MUM and WIFE! 

In terms of self-care, I wake up at 6am and start the day by 6:15am (....most of the time) and I am learning to say no, and empowering others to take responsibility for themselves. (Although I still have a LONG way to go and this is a huge area that needs to improve in my life)

Who inspires me the most and why? 

This is so hard, I take inspiration from everyone, my friends inspire me daily and motivate me to be better, my daughter inspires me with her inner strength, my sons inspire me with their passion.  I surround myself with good, positive, caring, hardworking, loving, generous people, so how can I not take inspiration from them all?  

You are radiant Sheri!  If I looked up radiance in the dictionary there would be a picture of you! Honestly!!!!....
